The GMC is too large for a standard container. There are some special
sizes that could accommodate it.
However there are a number RO RO (roll on roll off) lines. The run on a
fairly tight time schedule and typically make the passage in 7 days. The
ships have adjustable height decks in the lower decks and accomodate buses
and trucks and earth moving equipment. It is simply driven on the ship and
there are chains which tie it to the deck.
Contact Wallenius Line. They are continuously running between Baltimore
and European and English ports.
