Sewer Swivel Fitting(was: Hitch)

Does anyone know of a source for the swivel fitting as shown in Peter's
pictures? I think that GM added that during the 75 model year. My 73
originally came with the long flexible hose, which was one of the first
things I threw away. I'm getting ready to plumb my mascerator and I'd like
to keep an "emergency" dump provision.

Swivel

Heinz did away with his original system. He might still have his.

You might want to think twice about adding that swivel fitting. I had one and
it leaked. I've been told that a lot of them leak. What I have now is a 3"
rubber like hose (some kind of silicon material) about 9" long that connects
the gate valve to a 3" PVC pipe. This allows the PVC pipe to drop down for
dumping. It also lets you move the pipe side to side. The OEM swivel fitting
only goes up and down. This is how Cinnabar does them now.

That's too simple - you know it's got to be complicated for a GMC! :o)

What's really crazy is that didn't occur to me and I've got something close
to it already. When I pitched the flex hose, I replaced it with a 3 inch
"no-hub" coupling and a 4' piece of PVC. The coupling is too stiff to allow
much movement tho'. I'll have to add the 3 inch hose to the shopping list.

That's probably the "no-hub" I'm using now. It's really too stiff for this.

Thanks Emery - I don't know that I've seen an angled "no-hub", but it might
be a better choice. I also have the thru-bumper hitch and was planning to
route the sewer to the rear driver's side.

I was a bit skeptical that the 3" hose would work. I figured that it would
crimp itself in half during use. But it doesn't. It is flexible enough to move
up and down and side to side without crimping itself. The stuff is expensive.
It cost $23.58 and is a part that Cinnabar sells. Their part (sewer hose
3 1/2 ID per inch HH5). It is more then just a simple rubber hose. So if you
can't find it anywhere local you can get it from Cinnabar. Hopefully what you
have left over at home will work and all you'll have to buy is the PVC pipe
which as you know is pretty cheap.
