The stock gauges are fine if you know what they're telling you. Get the engine up to normal operating temps. Use an inferred temp sensor on the engines intake manifold temp sensor. Read the inferred temp. Then you'll know if it's running hot or cold. Take a Sharpie. Put a very small dot on your gauge lens as a reference point. Pull your engine oil pressure sensor. Screw in a pressure gauge. Then mark the oil pressure gauge lens. This way there's no more questing, And no need for more gauges. Bob Dunahugh

I'm lazier than that. I save the little chips from making brother labels and use them when I can.
In this case when Mary decided that she wanted to drive, I found out that she understand the instruments, so I cut little brackets out of white tape
and put them in the running range of oil and water. This only comforting until I found that she does not do and instrument scan when driving.
That is why we have a Digi-panel. I can see that from the passenger seat.
