Any one have a calibrated curve of the relationship of the actual temperature and the ohms reading of the GMC water gauge?
Just interested.

Tom,
Back in 2010 I tested/calibrated a bunch of temperature sensors (all
aftermarket, it appears) with a fairly elaborate setup. I just went back
to the photos of those tests but didn't find any of the test results. :-(
But, I did find the attached article on GM temp sensors, which are probably
pretty representative of our OEM sensors. Maybe It will provide you with
general knowledge if not exact Ohm readings.

The above message got rejected because the attachment was too large, so I'm
providing this link to it on my OneDrive:

Try this link...

The TS6 is the OEM sensor.

Thanks, Ken and Bill. I don't have a GMC that lives with me, but I know of one close by. I thinking of an Ardunio with LED readout. Rather simple
with the curve data.
A Raspberry Pi would also be cute.

Tom,

I looked in the wrong place for my temperature gauge data: It was on the
photo site all the time. Maybe this will help satisfy your curiosity:

I don't worry so much about absolutes as I do changes without obvious causes.
