Seeking Information HEI Intake

I have recently installed an HEI on my '73, 455 GMC. I am looking for an
Intake Air Filter container, one that fits the HEI. I went to Autozone
where I bought and tried a universal, but it is too tall. I cannot find a
replacement. What do you GMCers use for an air cleaner who have installed
an HEI ? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I think you can tell that it doesn't take a lot of 'massaging' with a ball
peen hammer to gain the clearance needed.

The air cleaner from a 75 or later toronado with HEI ignition will
fit(either a 403 or 455 will work). Check you local salvage yards.

A little surgery is required. If you have access to a band saw (metal
cutting variety) you can slice off the interfering portion of your existing
air cleaner, and patch the hole with some sheet metal, and seal the gaps
with silicone.

I got mine from a 77 Olds Tornado.
Its tight bit it fit.
