Hi Darren,
I was looking for new replacements in cloth? Saw Alex's leather seats but
they might be to hot in our area.

I put in standard FlexSteels some years back, purchased at Camping World.
Recliner and lumbar support and folding armrests.

I like 'em.

On my '76 Transmode they were a direct and easy replacement.

There should be picture on my website that'll give you an idea, and if not
let me know and I'll add one.

I just purchased two High back fully reclining, lumbar supported seats
from a local manufacturer here in Calgary. I have had their seats before
and they are great. A perfect fit for the OEM bases. Total cost $900.00
Canadian, or $600.00 US. See them in Albuquerque. Could send pictures if
requested. Darren

Hey didn't think of that Justin!! The wife was wanting more leg room on her
side( Tried but she just won't drive yet) So I might do as you say till I
find some new seats that'll fit my budget, Hope it won't mess with new seat
mounting if I get some. And it'll work great with lowering the steering
wheel.

Hi everyone-

Guess who sells Eldorado by Seats, Inc as well...

I'm a bit spooked by how often our brands are occuring on the list! So far
Hyatt, Centramatic and Seats Inc, wonder what will be next at this point.

Anyhow, something you might also wish to consider, is that Seats, Inc as
well as most manufacturers of seating items sell a thing called a
'companion' seat. This is a seat that is similar or identical to the
driver's side air suspension seat, but without the suspension. Prices are
usually quite substanially lower. This might be a good alterative for some
GMC'ers.

There's also no reason the air suspension type cannot be used, might be nice
for people who are interested.

Armrests, special mounts and all kinds of little features are usually
optional, so you can get them how you like them also. Our product has
literally dozens of seat upholstery materials availible also.

All local dealers of heavy trucks should be able to get them for you, but
shop around, prices vary widely ( we charge them all the same, but dealers
set thier own prices). One large advantage of our suspension seat models is
the air pressure and height adjustment are completely independent, which is
a popular feature for husband wife driving teams where they differ
substantially in weight and/or stature. This may be a good feature for some
folks also.

Anyhow, I'm doing my best not to turn this into a commercial, but I would
like to say, and I am sure I speak for the Tobbacco Council when I say this
also, that no GMC is complete without Hyatt bearings, an Eldorado seat in
every position, and Centramatics on all moving parts:-)

I went to a place in Ft. Worth that makes Van conversions.

Justin, just curious: where in FtWorth did you go? I used to drive fast and
fight crime for the Sheriff's Office there; there was a place just north of
FtWorth that did conversions. Real big place; can't remember the name of it.
Tra-Tech?

Don't worry about it, Justin...the place I'm remembering was out in the
county, north of FtWorth. White Settlement is in the Southwest part of
FtWorth, so it isn't the same place anyway. I think it was Tra-Tech.

Are you not familiar with the numerous RV salvage stores in the Elkhart IN
and SW MI area?? A lot of take-out seats, etc., available.

Has anyone purchased seats from Salesco?

http://www.salesco.com/vanseats/

I am about to take the plunge and their seats (especially the Diamante) look sharp and reasonably priced.

I would love input before I leap.
