Steve,
I'm also looking at replacing my OEM seats. The fabric is really faded.

Were these seats that you mention here new or used?
Richard Waters

Richard,
They were used but in perfect condition. A little clean up and now
we've decided to do the entire interior in shades of greys. There's a
guy here who has 20-30 of these vans (shuttle service) and he's always
scrapping one out for parts. I'm amazed at the condition of the
interiors considered what they're used for. The steering wheel is a
direct bolt-on too and comes with the GMC logo.

Where is this treasure trove?

Wayne,
It's a huge underground garage facility/parking area just off of Park &
University in San Diego. I saw the ad in the Parts Trader. Nice guy to
do business with and doesn't think his stuff is "gold plated".

Well, so much for that idea. I'm in Maryland, and even after I drive out to
Missouri this summer, the freight would eat any savings. Thanks for getting
back.

Bill was in the car business for a long time, and yes, I think he knows where to
get good parts. Thanks for reminding me.

If you go to the surplus shops in Elkhart, the seats are new take outs
fron the van conversion firms. I think they run about $150-200 plus
shipping. Nice selection of colors, nice leather, nice detailing.
