Searching for a 26"

  • Please note, the forum recently had a problem with outbound emails for notifications, registrations, etc. A new email provider has been set up which should resolve all email issues. If you have any further trouble, please DM Christo or reach out via the Contact Us link in the website footer.
This forum is focused on 1973-78 GMC Motorhomes but we've helped The Revconeer (and he's shared some great road trip info). I think he's met a few other GMC Motorhome owners, might have a connection as you're searching to buy,

Hello Community,
I'm searching for a GMC Motorhome 26" in Germany.
If you know something, let me know.
Thanks and best regards from Germany,
Ralf
Hello Ralf
Erich here in Ontario California
Used to work on GMC motorhomes A few years back. Still have 2 left in my shop yard. Both of them were stored under cover but not in a closed garage. both are California Coaches and have not rust issues! I have also a spare engine. Although it's a 455 not a 405. Either engine are interchangeable in these coaches. 73's to 75's have 455 Olds installed. 76 to 78 had 403 Olds engine.
Both coaches have to be redone inside and out! Got windshields and other parts too that go with these Coaches.
all could be your for around 20K's.
Regards, Erich @ fischergmc@earthlink.net

Hello Erich, thanks for the offer. I think it's a bit problematic to import a coach to Germany. High costs and then difficulties with registration here. However, I haven't looked into it enough yet.
Greetings from Germany 😊

Hello Scott,
I'm in Cologne.
It's maybe 400 miles from munich, but no problem.
I get into Munich about 3 times a month. But on the ground for only 24 hours. I was going to invite you to the Augustiner Biergarten for a few Helle's and talk GMC’s. But Cologne is too far for that. Besides you’re probably an Alt beer fan!

Hi Scott, that's a good idea, but it's actually going too far. Alt beer is hated in Cologne, never ask for it here 😅 They have it in Düsseldorf.
I would normally be in Munich for Oktoberfest today, but I had to cancel.
It's a really nice thought to talk about GMCs over a few beers.
Best from Cologne, Ralf 😊
