Looking for your experiences with the subject.

1. If you have satellite TV service and a coach mounted (i. e. not portable
one) dish antenna, what brand of antenna do you have on your coach??

2. Is it crank up or motorized??

3. If crank up, do you wish you had a motorized one even though they cost
nearly five times the cost of a crank up type??

4. If so, which brand?

5. Which of the two service providers do you subscribe to??

6. Do you also use it (i. e. the service) in your house??

7. What do you do for local channel service both in the coach and the
house??

I've got one of those Wineguard combination satellite dish/omni-directional
tv antenae's from Camping World but haven't got it installed yet.

The only thing I might help you with would be your choice of content
provider. I've had a Hughs DirecPC system for about 3 years now. They're
the same folks that provide DirecTV. Their service has gotten steadily
worse over the years. They keep dropping services and curtailing access
without ever contacting their customer base. It's to the point that it's
really no good for anything except, possibly, a bird bath.

I'm going to select the Dish Network when it comes time. I don't know if
they're any better, but I am certainly NOT going to get involved with Hughs
Network Systems again.

Billy;

I've been a subscriber to DirectTV for at least 4 years, maybe longer, and the
service has been nothing but excellent. They have added channels and services
and the list of channels has grown considerably since the early days. Yes,
they do charge extra for sports, which they do better than any other provider,
and movies. But pricing is less than Time Warner cable and the picture quality
is vastly superior over cable here in Rochester. The Dish Network that my
brother in law has does not seem as complete as DirecTV and he says that he is
going to change as soon as he can. Just my opinion and I know every one has
their own preferences.

PS: DirectTV has Speedvision and if you are into vehicles (ground, water or air
capable) and racing of any sort it is a great channel.

Since it's a proven system, I might re-consider. Their satellite internet
(DirecPC) access is, I suppose, still trying to find a profitable marketing
scheme. I really hate being their Guinea pig though while paying them $20
a month.

In my opinion, Hughs Network System is the most impersonal and arrogant
service provider I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. The class
action suit against them for breach of contract and fasle advertising is
supposed to finalize next month in Maryland and I just hope I can get some
of my money back on the equipment.

My experience with class action suits is: A/ The attorneys get a very big
pile of money and B/ The members of the Class Action get coupons or
discounts against future purchases of the same thing they sued about!
