Dear Walter & family --
San Diego is a great place to visit in March -- our "winter" will be gone
and spring on the way. (I hope the weather doesn't make a liar out of me!)
"Campland on the Bay" is a nice park with full hookups. It's right on
Mission Bay, so the water is calm for the kids (as opposed to the ocean).
The beach is very nice and there are bike trails all over the Mission Bay
area. There's an "executive"golf course right across the street
(three-par), and Seaworld is five minutes away. Legoland is scheduled to
open March 20 and is approximately a 30-minute drive from San Diego. If
you are a member of Triple A, check with them and see if you can get
discounted tickets for Seaworld. The telephone number at Campland on the

Ocean fishing is available at a number of nearby marinas. You might even
see a few California gray whales on their migration towards Mexico,
although most of them passed by here in January and February.
Tourists come in all varieties. We think the ones who swim in 65-degree
water are crazy, but there are lots of places where you can rent a wetsuit.

out with other information. God forbid you should need help with the
motorhome, but we do have some locals who have worked on our GMC and seem
to know what they are doing!
