"Has anyone installed a set of Ramco mirrors lately? How
did you route the wires to the inside? Did you remove the
inside panels at the right of the passenger seat and left of
the drivers seat to route the wires or is there an easier way?"
While my Ramco's are manual. I have just finished putting
the dash and side panels back in and have a pretty good
sense of the internals of the 1st generation dash.
On the passengers side, you should be able to reach
through to grab the wires from the glove box opening.
On the drivers side, bottom panel between the steering
column and the outer wall removed, same thing, should
be able to reach the wires to start routing them.
To remove the side panels, windshields still in, the fastener
on the top of the side panel is difficult (if not impossible)
to access.
If the panel were broken out I am sure some other form
of attachment could be created to reinstall the panel
without removing the windshields. Somehow however
the panel needs some kind of attachment up in the top
front corner.
Of course the 2nd generation dash is somewhat different
and I don't know how much if any of the above would apply.
