Travelling from West to East on I-10.
Get gas in Alabama at exit 4. Otherwise, turn North on I-65, exit on US-90 and go to Costco. Easy even if towing. Gas tax is 15 cents lower in Alabama
vis Florida. Right now, Costco is $1.799.

In Florida, Gas up just before Tallashaee, exit 192. (Same as Camping World). We go North because Flying J has separate RV pumps, making refueling
easier. Has a Denny's also. Cheapest place along the I-10 corridor. West of Tallashaee, Marie Anne has competitive gas stations. First exit from East,
Second exit from West.

Stop at Florida Welcome Station and pick up the magazine sized tourist guide to Tallashaee.

See you there. Feel free to add other travel comments.

When you approach Mobile on I-10, be careful when nearing the tunnel under Mobile Bay. It is the sharpest turn in the entire Interstate system. Posted
at 50 Mph, and that is a good idea until you clear the turn. Many a trucker has 'kissed' the wall. A wreck here will close the Interstate for hours.
I recommend using the left hand lane entering the tunnel and accelerate once pass the turn. Try not to hit the tunnel after 1530 until 1800. Commuter
traffic is very heavy. Bridge/tunnel combination is at 250% capacity, just like everywhere else.

New possible gas point on I-10 in Alabama.
Buckies, a Texas chain, just opened a 120 pump station, way East of Mobile. Near Florida border. Has no ethanol gasoline for those who enjoy it's
benefits. 10% regular is $1.85 this week.
Further additions after my trip to Orlando next week. Orlando Hamvacation calling my wallet.

correct name is Buc-ee's, a Texas chain. Stopped by this week-end. Cheapest gas on I-10 in Alabama. Currently $2.019. Cheaper than Florida. 120 well
laid gas pumps, including 3 with non-ethanol. Easy refueling with any size motorhome, including the toad. Recommend that when you turn in for fuel,
take the second entrance, just easier. Huge parking lot. Cleanest restrooms that you will ever see at any gas station or rest stop.
Exit 49, easy off and on for the Interstate from East or West. Big assortment of food inside, just no sit down place.
See you in Tallashaee.
