Scott they now make the EPDM (white, black or grey)in liquid form. It seems
like the perfect solution to seal the joints.

I use a product that is used to seal windshields and panels on jet aircraft.
I work for a major airline and we keep the sealant on hand all the time.
The drawback to it is it has a shelf life of 6 month to 1 year. After that
you can not use it as it will go bad (not set up) very soon after the shelf
life expires. It is a 2 part compound that smells like rubber. It works
very well but it is somewhat thin and a bit messy to use. When the shelf
life expires on the sealant, that we keep in the shop, we have to dispose of
it. I disposed of a couple of cans of it on the seams of my GMC and it
works great. I would think you could find it at an aircraft parts house. I
will try to find out where the airline buys it and what we pay for it.
There are several different mixtures of the compound, depending on its use.
You want one that has UV protection in it so it does not rot away when the
sun gets to it.

Thanks for the lead on the covers

.....does anyone know where to get that 2 sp fan for less than $30.00?Sorry, don't
have any info - Mine work great so I don't think I'll replace with "Fantastic"

I recently bought a 5.5 oz. tube of DAP Caulk-Be-Gone at Lowe's that I'm going to
try.

In my other life when I had a sailboat, I found that 3M 5200 Polyurethane
Adhesive/Sealant worked better than anything else to keep water out (Keeping water
out of a boat is important .)You can get it at West Marine (www.westmarine.com)
or any marine supply house.

You might be surprised and find that some simple rubbing with your fingers will
remove an awful lot of silicone. I just removed all of my windows to have them
plasta-blasted and powder coated. On each and every linear inch of those frames
was enough silicone to seal an entire house. The only way to do a good job of
resealing is to remove the piece and reseal it properly before installation. On
your queary of a replacement parts manual, try Osburns RV in Albuquerque NM. They
have a pretty good pamphlet that might be what you are looking for. The pamphlet
also has helpfull hints for emergency roadside repairs. (505-821-0543) Agreat
place to have repairs done or questions answered. Darren

Well Scott, looks like I stopped typing too soon. I am right now in the middle of
a complete refurbish and have lots of ideas that Id like to share with anyone who
will listen. I have a 1976 26' that is giving me nothing but pleasure and a
greatly depleted bank account. I just have to figure out when I want to start
relaying info. It seems like a monumental task at times. I will have to start soon
now that I've, blown my anonymity, so to speak. Later: Darren
