Ron & Gina

I have a picture on the Air Bag Lifters - if you
provide your private email, I will forward.

Not sure if the GMCnet takes attachments - and it
would clog it up a little anyway.

Huh?????? Where is it installed? Thought it was some kind of spacer between
bag cone/bogie. arm. Please help me understand where its installed whats it
looks like.

Ron&Gina

Thanks Mike,
I understand now that it does go between cone end and arm, and raises bag up
and shortens distance between both arms. I thought it was just a union like
coupler without raising bag height to increase coach height when in raised
position. So thanks all for the info. Still would like to see pic. Thanks
again

Before you get too excited about the lifters, get a copy of Cinnebar's magazine
that discusses this subject and then decide whether to invest your money this
direction or go to 4 bags.

I think so too. Also, wouldn't it reduce the total lift height possible at
the rear?

Thanks Wayne, I have all issues from Cinnebar, and have read about
lifters/4-baggers, I took it as cinnebar saying too stay with OEM set-up. I
was just wondering about trying to get more height for driveway entry when
needed. I seem to be scraping my lady's bottom alot in the areas I'm going
too no matter what angle I enter/leave. Guess I'll have to get some wheelie
wheels or choose my stop/places better. :-)>, P.O. install some, guess it
was too light a setup, There's the remnants of one that handles the scraping
(less wheel) duty now. Anybody installed some wheels back there that last?
Thanks
Ron

Yea I Guess Emery, Now that I see the pics, Thought it was a union/coupler
type setup where bags attached. But now I know it goes up also. Not for me.

On my 75 Palm Beach, I can turn the valves to " rise" and get a pretty fast lift
to go over dips and driveways. I think that your air valve system is the same
as mine, but stranger things have happened. Have you replaced your air valves
(in the dash)? I bought Slayton's valves and some new 1/4 in line from
Cinnabar. It was one of the easiest changeovers I have made.

Hi Wayne, Yea I can raise mine and all works fine, that is if it lowers my
tk. pressure far enough to start compressor but usually it doesn't. I now
have to lower height then raise so I can lower my tk. press. and get my
compressor to start(90# is the lowest I can set my controller for start with
cutoff @ about 115) My Tk. press. usually stays at 95-100# while in travel
position thru out trip. I'm going to add a man. switch to compressor to
start when needed but haven't got around to it yet. Guess I could lower my
cutoff which would lower my start point, But P.O. had it set at 95/125 And I
lowered to what I have now. Thanks

Reset the pressure switch to 95-125. it's not hard to do, just remove the cover
and look around. If that doesn't work, replace the pressure switch. Less than
$20.

Yea Wayne and Arch, I do have a new P.S. from P.O. But doing other things
and haven't got around to that also(and waiting on the Thomas compressor),
but I will. But still want to hook-up a Man. switch for the compressor start
when needed. But there are still times that I get her up and I still have
the drag problem. Guess I gotta pick my spots better. (reason I never liked
low-riders)
Thanks all

I have seen several GMC's with steel wheels mounted to the extreem rear end. I
haven't looked under to see how they were attached. If you go this route, get
back with me and I'll look up some of my industrial wheel catalogs. I use a lot
of heavy duty wheels on carts in my trade show business. Don't waist your time
and money with the wheels from the rv catalogs.

That's something that I've wanted to do ever since I bought my GMC.

I'm kind of tired of dragging my hind end overtime I drive up or down
any kind of incline as in a gas station.

If it's not too much trouble, maybe you could look into it further.

I'd appreciate that Wayne, I saw one on a SOB, it was a steel roller with
four connecting spots thru out length about 4' and about 4-5" tall which I
liked but could not find owner. P.O. installed two 3-4" neoprene wheels
welded to trailer hitch frame under coach about 12" behind bumper which
didn't last to long. But would like to find a 3-4" wheel/roller to put in
same spot. Thanks for any help.
