You are indeed off the beaten track !!
Most people from this group who will be coming to NS will be on
the main highways unless they have more that a couple of weeks.
I will say, from personal experience, and from what I have heard
from others this summer, that our roads are no worse than
anywhere else !! One has to be certain that one is comparing
apples to apples and oranges to oranges.
To suggest the above route is one that might be taken by the
average GMC traveller just ain't so.
My Rand McNally, "Interstate Highways Map of the United States"
suggests the route you mention as the equal to a "Connecting
State" or "Provincial" highway and is a long way from commonly
used highways.

that Nova Scotia has a patent on them.
We all enjoy your stories, but the impression left is that of a trip to
Alaska......and here I don't know of what I speak, because I've
never been there .....yet !! But last year, I travelled through 35
states and 5 provinces.
