Bill,
The only place I've found it is at NAPA. I'm not sure just what it
does.( I'm embarrased to say.) All I know is that it has worked on 2 of
my engines and Jerry Cantrell's Suburban.
I asked about the crank being reground because occasionally the engine
rebuilder fails to check rod side-play. If it's excessive the journal
slings a lot of oil onto the cylinder walls and overwhelms the oil
control rings.
Read those plugs! They should tell the story. A couple oil changes
sure beats another overhaul.

Rislone is available at most auto supply stores and WalMart, about $2.00
a quart. With the first quart in our 455, oil consumption went from 350
miles per quart to 700 miles per quart, the GMC
had been parked for 2 years when we purchased it.

Guys

Wynn's Tuneup will free up rings and lifters. Just add it to the oil. It will
burn off in about 15-30 minutes and you can litterly hear the engine smooth out.
