Again, we welcome another GMC to Maryland (2 in the last month). You're
home safely just in time to join The Tidewater Crabs and Colonial
Travelers for the first rally of the year in Rehoboth Beach, De this
weekend.. Call me for details, unless you already have them.
The Goodyear Truck Tire Store on the south side of Balt has G159's in
stock (normally). Call me and I'll look up the name of the manager.
It's possible to get a better price than what you would get walking in
off the street. Stay away from the GMC truck dealer in Glen Burnie. I
went there for my state inspection. They don't have a clue about our
coaches and butchered the front bearings, after assuring me that they
had all of the special tools to do the job. At that time, I didn't have
my own bearing removal tools (thanks, Warner).
Norman Dubner is also available locally. He knows more about a stock
coach, than anyone outside GM, and he's willing to share his knowledge.
Best to you. I'll help where I can.

This might be a good time for me to bring up a thought that I've had
since receiving the Warner puller. There have been recent posts from
other puller owners who have stated that they have no idea how to use
them. My thought was that it would be great to have a video
demonstration of someone actually doing the bearing service.
Having someone talk you through while demonstrating the proper way to
use the tools would go a long way towards removing the fear factor for
those of us who might be faint of heart about tackling the job.

Are there any mechanical netters out there who plan on doing their
bearings with the Warner Puller who would be willing to make such a
video and make it available (for a fee $) to the above mentioned puller
owners. ? :)

Just a thought.
