RH Output Shaft Bearing

Hey everybody, I put my 3.70 final drive in the coach and why I have the RH
output shaft out I figured I should replace the bearing. the old bearing
does not feel crunchy but does have some slop left right up and down in the
support bracket.I looked up the part number "RW507-CR" and ordered a Timken
RW507CR. I have not pressed the old bearing off the shaft yet but my
assumption is it is just a pressed fit near the bearing location and should
slide partially down the shaft correct? If so then I have the
wrong bearing.

Bearing does press on the shaft and the bracket sandwiches that bearing
with the bracket.

Is the slop in the bearing or in the interface between the bearing and the
bracket? If it’s slop in the bracket a new bearing won’t heal it.

With the output shaft sitting on the bench (vertical) I can move the
support bracket about a 1/16th" Does not feel like the bearing is moving in
the bracket, If I don't need to change I would be fine with that, lol

Timken RW507CR 1.3580 ID
Shaft at spline 1.4080
Shaft 1.4400

According to the Parts Interchange

New Departure Hyatt RW508B
NAPA Bearings (BRG) RW507-CR
New Departure Hyatt RW508BR

Take the 3 bolts out and separate the bracket halves. I’m guessing it’s a sealed bearing, but is the balls are visible you could repack some
Valvoline full synth grease in there and it will outlive all of us.

John thanks for the reply, the bearing is sealed, according to the service
manual there should be some grease added. I am going to run it for now, a
friend in the community told me he has one in good shape if needed.
