I'm not familiar with the model, but I notice that they are generally longer
than the GMC, and have leaf springs in the rear rather than the air
suspension. I was told by an owner that his has a Chevy 454 rather than the
Olds 455 engine.

Can anyone fill me in on the pros and cons of a Revcon? They appear to
be mechanically similar to a GMC. I am still looking. Thanks in

Thanks a million for the tip, and the honesty.

Thanks a million, Arch. I welcome web sites. I have been looking to
buy for about eight months now and still am getting eaten alive by my
schedule. I plan to visit Alex Sirum in December --- nearly a year
after I first intended to go. There is an early Revcon near here, and I
wanted to be sure it was worth taking time to even look at. The early
ones apparently are 455 Olds powered and late ones are 454 Chevrolet.
The transaxle is the Olds 425A, from what I can ascertain. Thanks in
advance.
