Hey everyone,

I have just started on the adventure of restoring my family's 1973 GMC Motorhome to its former glory. It's been in the family since new -- when my
grandfather retired and took his family on a cross country adventure.

I was rummaging through some of the boxes of documents related to the GMC and found an original dealer key fob. The other one we had was deteriorated
to the point that it fell off the key ring recently... so I decided to start making reproductions.

My father and I have leathercrafting experience, so after meticulously tracing the original design digitally we are now able to reproduce dealer-style
key fobs for the GMC.

You can see the Etsy listing and pictures here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/735454006/gmc-motorhomes-leather-key-fob-handmade

All the tooling and materials are sourced from the USA. Each fob is individually hand made in our living ro... home shop outside Buffalo, NY.

My hobby is restoring classic cars and if you're like me, the small details matter. This would make a great gift for any GMCer for the holidays... or
for yourself :d

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting something for sale here. I truly like the original design and wanted to give everyone a chance to
enjoy a fob as original as their coaches...

I'm planning to start a blog or at least a post to follow the restoration... I have some pretty cool ideas planned.

You can get $5 off your order by using the coupon code "https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarRingLeatherworks?coupon=CAMEL73" -- the color and year of my
family's GMC :d

Be careful. You may have a problem with GM or Cinnabar.

The late Mike Beaton sold some of those identical key fobs 10 or 15 years
ago. I bought several from him. Nice product.

GM has 3 divisions for reproduction parts
Mechanical parts
Accessories
Apparel
They were farming the management of this out but have now taken it back in house.
First you will get a Cease and Desist
If you continue without fees and percentages, it won't be pretty.
