Replacing Felt on Toll Windows

In the never ending quest to seal leaks,I bought the Toll window seals and
been trying to install them. Having a heck of a time. Anybody who has done
this have any helpful hints / resources to make this work. I bought the
felt/channel seals from Applied GMC.

Also, thinking of removing the driver / passenger window frame assembly
completely to seal the forward channel that the whole side frame fits into.
Has anyone found this area to be a source of leaks ?

Take out the top and bottom seals. You should have plenty of room to get in the top one.
Close the window. Put part on the bottom one in the bottom channel behind the window. Slide the window over the felt. Then move the felt and the window foward. Hold the felt and open the window. Repeat sliding the felt and the window forward. Once the felt is all the way forward you can trim it to fit. Then cut and fit the front piece.

You then may want to glue it in place with auto window felt glue.

I did mine last summer and pretty much did what Emery said… Moving the bottom felt into place took several iterations and some creative pulling. I cut the slits in the new rubber to match the drains in the window channels.

In the end - I found it much easier than I expected. It was tight enough that I didn't glue it in place - even though I had the adhesive left over from a previous project.

The end result was a nice, tight seal and no window rattles!
