The hatch cover is done. Well, almost, any way.

Mine has a total rise of 2.75 inches. There is a three inch flat, then
the transition up. Stays flat on top and the forward edge has the same
french curve and flat. It is possible to curve tighter. It is also
possible to have the rise as whatever is required. Less than 1 inch to
more than 6 " if necessary. The under side will be covered in the '
Lytherm, ceramic paper'
Your finish on the top will be left up to you, unless you want to send
me your choice of finish. There will be a mini door so it is easy to
check the tranny level. Still working out details on that but I should
have it later this week.
Construction is of .125 aluminum. The Lytherm will be installed with
rivets and spacers so the material does not get compressed. If any one
is interested please contact me and I will try to send you a photo or
two. The file is about 8 megs so it takes time to download, depending on
your server. I also can send photos through snail mail if required.

I have also made, what I believe, to be a replacement for the
fiberglass " T- Skirts " They are made of 3/16 aluminum, curved to
match the body and will use the same attachment points. Mine are 1"
narrower at the bottom to give me more room for my oversized tires.
Direct replacement sizes are possible. Other custom sizes can also be
manufactured. Pictures available on request.

Next week it will be new rear locker doors to replace the fiberglass
ones on the genset and propane doors. All that will be lost will be the
exhaust dimple on the genset door. This way it will be possible to
change the venting configuration for your battery comp. also.

Which reminds me. Roll out battery trays will also be done.
If any one is interested contact me privately and I can send pics or I
would be happy to just talk about the GM in general.

I just got tired of being extremely careful with that old fiberglass.
Besides I have three kids and need it more bullet proof than OEM.

Sorry Patrick if this sounds too much like a sales pitch. I am just
saying what I know, as Arch would say.
