Does anyone have a source for aftermarket "bus" style mirrors? I'm looking
for a combination flat/concave mirror unit in a single head, with a bolt
pattern matching the original holes. Preferably in a chrome or stainless
finish, or paintable. I'm looking for something that would be aerodynamic,
complementing the coach's lines.

Thanks

Upon receiving my post, I'd really rather have a "convex" mirror!

Thanks.

Chuck:

Ramco Engineering, Elkart, Indianna, 219-294-7691 as of 1/15/95 had
streamline rearview mirrors, with combination of regular and wide angle
glass mounted in each head, that were predrilled for the GMC motorhome.
Also had electric heated models.

Be aware that there are two mounting methods applicable with the
original mirrors.

Starting out, the mirrors were mounted using screws for hardware. Later
(my 78 for instance) used studs (secured from inside the body) with the
mirror being secured with chrome acorn nuts. In that case, Ramco needs
to be informed and they can supply a bracket that is counterbored on the
face of the mirror bracket for the acorn nuts. They also fill weld a
void on the back side of each corner of the bracket, grind it flat, and
re-bore the stud holes.

P. S. Ramco also has an 800 number: 321-4819.
