Any vendor bringing one to Shawnee? What would be cost?

Are engine and tranny coolers mandatory? Same questions as in sentence above.

Thinking about an S&J engine and their "warnings" sort of scare me!

Mac,

Contact JimK directly, IIRC he's handling the sales of the Aluminum
radiators now.

The engineers that designed the GMC installed them for a reason and I reckon
they knew what they were doing.

Keep in mind that the Toronado never had an engine oil cooler. I can't
remember if it did have a tranny cooler or not, however, I "think" may have.

If your OEM radiator shows no signs of water leakage then I would remove it
have it cleaned and tested at a radiator shop then have both the coolers
cleaned by a company that has a Hotflush machine:

To my knowledge, every automatic transmission that has a torque converter has an external cooler of some sort and the cheapest with a liquid cooled
system is make it part of the primary heat exchanger (what everybody else in the world calls a radiator).

If I ever had to do something about mine, I would replace the engine lube oil cooler with a Modine donut at the oil filter and string water side in
series with the house water heater. The transmission cooler I have to think about.

The cooler hot flush cleaners are common around aircraft where cooler are much more expensive to replace. I used to have access to one, but Zantop
folded in 2001.

Gene Dotson and Jim Buchanan own the design and manufacturing rights to the GMC aluminum radiator that is manufactured by Griffin.

Jim K. can also order one for you.

Gene is pretty much retired so I suggest that you contact Jim Buchanan and see if he is bringing one to Shawnee. In the past Jim or Gene have brought
at least one for a display model. If Jim is not coming and bringing one for display and sale, then ask Jim K. to order one for you. If you order
one you probably will not get it in time for the rally, but ask Jim K. for sure. He has been known to pull off some impossible things in the past
when necessary.
