Replacement Air Compressor Switch

As part of my air compressor overhaul, I also want to replace the
pressure switch. The one that came on mine looks like it belongs in a
well-house. I know about the ones listed in the GMCMI newsletters
available from Grainger, but while perusing a new jeep wishbook(Leon
Rosser Jeep www.thinkjeep.com - onboard air systems are popular with
off-roaders), I found a small pressure switch(looks like a gauge sending
unit) which is set for 80psi on and 115 psi off for $19. It's not
listed separately on the web site, but it can be seen as part of the
install package no. PA502 near the bottom of:

http://www.thinkjeep.com/manufacturers/sun/quickair/

I like the fact the the switch is small and sealed, but the one
disadvantage I see is the lack of an unloader. Is this really a
necessity?

Thanks,
Patrick

I have the Grainger catelogue but have not seen the newsletters. Do you know
which Grainger part number is the correct switch for our coaches (or for the
electrolevel I if different systems take a different switch)?

I think the pressure switch is the same for all(warning - wild
assumption there!). I don't have the newsletters with me at work - I
think it was issues 45 and 45 from 1994 had the part numbers. The
newsletters are worth the price(as is GMCMI membership) and you should
get the backissues. If nobody else posts the numbers, I'll do it
tonight.

Thanks, Patrick.

I'll watch for the part number.
