NorCal GMC is pretty close to you in San Rafael. Tony and Dave a very nice
guys who both won GMCs. I don't know if they work on Onans or not. They may
be able to help you with an install.

Hi Susan

I am just down the road in Livermore. You are the second in our area
looking for an Onan repair person... James is also.

What is your email addr ? and I will put you on our local list. We just
had a front bearing rally in Plesanton that you would have liked to attend.

We are going to have an Onan rally in a month or so to install solid state
ignition modules, and you might like that.

I did not know that T&C was going to close. I am sorry to hear that there
are only a few places that know GMC.

PMFJI, but you may be the guy I need to chat with about the first motorhome I
ever saw. It was in Kansas during WWII (about 43 or 44). Best I remember at
first glance you might mistake it for a Spartan trailer. All aluminum skin and
similar construction, IIRC. The entry door was about the location of a bus
(forward) but it was most definitely not a bus nor a bus door -- a special
contoured and hinged door. The coach was obviously purpose built and the driver
sat over the engine, much like a GMC. It did not have a front passenger seat --
the entry door was very close up front. It was a self contained, complete
motorhome. I've sort of always figured since that it might be a one-off mod to
an actual Spartan trailer. Whatever it was, it was way ahead of it's time.

Does this ring any bells for you? I've been curious about that thing all my life
since... :-)

Thanks Dean -- you are part of a rae and interesting family! I think I would have
really liked to have a few one on one sessions with your dad. If you do run
across anything, I'd appreciate a holler. Seeing that coach at an early age is
probably what warped me for life! :-)
It really impressed me.

As for dreamers, anytime you want to discuss how it could be, be sure to let
me know. I'll put more ideas on you than want to hear probably. :-)
