Has anyone found a successful chemical way to remove the decal stripes
applied to our coaches?

I have an Avion and want to remove the "wings" from the sides. I have tried
the heat gun method and am pretty much NOT successful.

I've used a rubber eraser wheel on a drill. Works very well. You can get them around $10.

I’ve removed many a stripe. I second the eraser wheel on a drill or a die grinder body. Just avoid using the eraser on plastic.

Be careful with the High RPM of Die-grinders .
It can burn the paint.
That is the difference between a grinder and a polisher, the RPM.

It’s far better to push harder to control eraser spin than to let it spin
with light pressure. The high rpm spin will build too much heat at the
surface which can liquefy sensitive substrates and take the top layer off
with the paint. Eraser wheel with a regulator to manage speed and firm
pressure will bring less collateral damage with high efficiency.
