Hi Steve!
If you pull the Gen out on its slide , in the back accessed from underneath
there is a 4 part connector check for corrosion at connectors, clean the
corrosion
and reconnect. This worked on my unit. Thats where the remote is wired to
the Gen. I used a spray contact cleaner.
