Just to show you guys what's available with the new GMC Motorhome Forum.
I just went through and chose to WATCH each forum and sub-forum on the
site. That means that I'll get an email any time a new message is posted.
(a button that will do this for you automatically is in development) As
you can see, there are links included that will take you to that particular
message so that you can reply to it. Also provided are links to read the
whole thread or to remove that forum from your WATCH LIST.
So far, there is no way to post through email but that is in development as
well.

Just FYI for those interested.

free corporate services, is forever. Things change and we must keep up!

Remote Power Steering Fill for Hydroboost......to use or not to use......
https://www.gmcmhforum.com/posts/1345/
So I just got my Bob Stone Hydroboost kit in the mail. First of all, I was
going to try to just build all of it myself. Ultimately I decided that I'd
buy the kit even though I didn't need half of it. I was probably a good
call. I would hav been able to do it all most likely, but there are three
parts that are custom which require a bit of fabrication:

First, the brake pedal torque tube is modified. It appears that the arms
that are attached to the pedal rod are cut off, and rewarded in a different
position in order to change the pedal ratio. I could have done this, but it
would have been a pain, and the one Bob sends out look like factory quality.

Second, the support bracket that mounts that supports the hydroboost off
the firewall ceiling is a custom piece. Easy to make, but again, time is
money. Lastly, and probably the most significant is the pedal rod itself.
It is a custom piece. Bob is clearly having these made somewhere. I've
spoken with the guy that makes the hydroboost units for Bob, and he sends
the rods to him to install. I guess you could cut and weld and shorter rod,
but you'd have to be really careful with the welder to not damage seals.

I know I got a little off topic there, but here is my issue. Because of my
serpentine bracket setup, I had installed a power steering pump with
integrated reservoir (much like the original) for a late 90's Silverado
3500. It has two return lines already built in. Bob sent me a pump that
will bolt right up but it is designed to have a remote reservoir mounted
under the booster. I'm trying to decide which way to go.

If you had the choice, would you like to have a easily accessible power
steering reservoir under the "hood" to easily check fluid or would you be
fine with just checking under the hatch on occasion? The installation would
be a little cleaner without the remote reservoir, but not that much
different.

Of course this looks much better when not coming from a "text only" email
list. The links are much more obvious with color.

Deciding to not use TExt-Only on eMail messages is a recipe for
desaster, as ALL fishing mails are successful because they show you a
link to click while not showing you the real address you will go to.

I strongly urge anyone in my vicinity to turn-off HTML message viewing.
Good email clients have the ability to do so, and/or have plugins that
allow you to switch.

And no, I do not like that kind of notification messages that you
showed. I very much prefer to read regular messages like in this forum,
and have my eMail client for writing messages.

For me that is much more convenient.

Thanks for the plug, bdub. I moderate a couple of subforums on GMCMHforum, and although I can't speak for the forum admin I believe it's unlikely that
email-based posting will be viable. There are too many variables with all the email clients out there to make it work reliably (i.e. no broken
threads, proper quoting, etc.). It may be possible to come up with a good digest notification capability that has single-click access to the post for
replying purposes.
