On my '76 Birchaven, the wheel well liners have a vertical extension which
leaves a gap between the outer body and that extension. In the
refrigerator compartment I drilled from the inside, through the liner
extension, into that gap. Screen wire over those holes prevents critters
from coming in and stored junk from falling out; the vertical gap does not
allow water and debris from the rotating wheels direct access to the holes
-- I never have anything entering the refrigerator compartment from there.

It might not satisfy Norcold, but it does provide an exit for any leaking
LPG, and the baffling I've also installed ensures adequate cooling air flow.
