I know quite a few of you follow the rec.outdoors.rv-travel newsgroup.
Well today's been kind of interesting. If you follow that newsgroup,
you know that Will Sill has always been a major detractor of GMC's.
Actually Will was part of the inspiration for my web page as an effort
to counter his negative veiwpoint of GMC's.

Today Will drew me into a discussion of the front hub and bearings.
Apparently, he had a bad experience with the hubs in the short time he
owned a GMC. In my typical low-key style I've been trading posts with
him, not allowing it to escalate to a flame-fest.

If you don't have usenet access, you can get to the archives at
www.dejanews.com. Do a "power search" on "GMC", limiting the search to
rec.outdoors.rv-travel and the last week.

BTW, don't jump in to the discussion. No need to "pile on" and I can
take care of myself. Just thought you all might like to know what was
going on over there.

Thanks guys! Actually I enjoy this kind of steady, level-headed
debate. I guess all the money my employer has spent on negotiation
skills training paid off!

BTW, sounds like the PO Will bought his GMC from had substituted ball
bearings(possibly from a Toronado?) for the roller bearings in the front
hub. It's no wonder he had a bad experience with it!

Yeah, you would think if he's correct, then the roadsides would be
littered with broken-down GMC's. 99% of the ones I see are merrily
rolling down the highway.

Unfortunately, the thread has broken down to the point where Will is
resulting to his trademark word-twisting and snide sarcasm, into which I
will not engage.

ROFL!! Good one, Arch

>Will was the first person I ran into on the net after I bought my GMC. Thank
>God you were the second. My parting shot to him one night was that
>I had survived a LeSharo and the GMC looked like a piece of cake.
