Any gadgets (black box) available that would have input for video and
output
image mirror'd.
I'd like to feed the cam into the computer instead of into a tv. The
X10
would indeed make a good rear cam, and it's color too.

I've never seen such a device. I doubt if one exists. If you're going to
feed a computer directly from the camera, you'll have to change the
horizontal deflection in the camera. This might not be too easy
depending on the miniaturization of the camera & if it is sealed. A
schematic would be helpful to determine the correct wires to switch.

Guys,
I got the rear TV camera and monitor (5") from J.C.Whitney and installed
it for $299 + S&H. Works great and has the mirror switch.

I Think what we need is a good programer to write
some software that would reverse the image after its
aquired and before it shows on the screen...shouldnt
be that hard to do!

http://supercircuits.com/ has a nice backup system with a 7" monitor for $299.95.
Big difference between a 5" and 7" screen when you compare them side-by-side. Go
to Radio Shack and look at their 5" and 7" TV's to make a comparison in screen
size.
