rear view mirror camera?

Is it 12vdc? You wouldn't want to power up the genset each time just to
run the video xmtr & rcvr.
If you connect it to a standard TV, the pix will be reversed as you view
it from the pilot's seat (what's on the left will appear on the right &
v/v). You will have a tendency to steer in the wrong direction when
backing. This can be corrected by swapping the horizontal deflection
wires within the TV.

I use it outside my garage overlooking the driveway and feed it into my ATI
card.
Good picture, but as indicated in another post, the reversal is the
potential problem :-)
If that can be resolved it would indeed make a nice cam, wireless or direct
connect.

I actually bought a couple more as X10 had 'em on sale. Hope to have a
duck-cam soon unless I don't get home before they grow up (ducklings that is
:-)

Any gadgets (black box) available that would have input for video and output
image mirror'd.
I'd like to feed the cam into the computer instead of into a tv. The X10
would indeed make a good rear cam, and it's color too.

Hi Dave and Heinz

I've been eye balling these little camaras too, thinking about that same
application. I'm working on hacking an I-Opener Internet Appliance that I
hope to use as my GPS and MP3 platform. This would fit in nicely since I
intend to have the little computer fold down from it's mounting flat
against the ceiling. Would need some kind of reversing circuitry though.

might shoot the camera up into a little mirror looking down, this would
reverse the image.

I thought of that also, Gene. I'll try it if nothing else surfaces.
