I put stainless steel lines in a 78 Royale once. I will never put SS lines in again. SS lines are much harder material. And leaks at the brass fittings was a problem. I put a standard steel set in another 78 Royale. Both sets were form Applied GMC. Both fit well. Yes. SS lines never rust. The original steel lines have held up well. I'd go with SS if you think that you'll be driving it for another 50 years.
