Gary -
I don't recall the exact procedure to reset the nut on reassembly, but
disassembly is pretty much what you stated - pull the nut, and the hub and
drum come off as a unit. (FWIW, this is also what you need to do to do brake
work.) If nobody else responds RE resetting the nut, e-mail me and I will
go dig out my manuals and get you the info.

Yes Gary, it is exactly as you describe. Though it might be difficult to
pull off the drum/hub assembly if the brake shoes are binding. The brake
backing plate has an elongated knock-out plug at about the six-o-clock
position. Pop this out to reach in to the star-wheel adjuster and back-off
the brake shoes. Of course, don't let the slug fall inside. A plug for this
hole is available at your friendly neighborhood auto-parts store.

Hi Gary, Sounds like that PB is keeping you busy. You got most
everything right on that rear wheel bearing bit. Be very careful you
dont get it too tight, I think the book says torque to 25# then back off
and retorque to 04 I go finger tight. Tell your brother that theres a
guy in Yakima that owns 3 GMC's and half a dozen part stores who told me
he would match anyones price on KYBs. His name is Tom Degrasse and he
owns triangle auto parts in Yakima. He gave me a e-mail of
t.degrasse Hav'nt tried it yet so dont know if it works.
He's got a burned out coach with lots of good parts. I've got his 800 #
if you need it. Have fun.
