Rear bogie pins 73

I have discovered that my rear bogie pins are worn and the bogie arms have play. What is the best solution for fixing this on a 73? Can it be machine
to install the larger newer style pins, should I try to find a newer rear suspension, or just replace the OEM pins and be done? Any opinions?

Ken,

I just went thru this with my '73. Even though there was a recall, mine lasted
46 years ( not bad). Why go to the trouble and machine work if you don't have to.

I just replaced the OEM pins with like pins.

Just went thru this while I was near Cinnabar, maybe give them a call. I think they sell the pin/bushing rebuild kit they installed on my '73
passenger side, and I think you can buy the upgraded pin setup from them and do both sides.

Jeff,
I would suggest that you check the pricing before you commit buying from Cinnabar. They can be somewhat pricey when it comes to parts.

We have a loaner reamer program as the reamer to use must reach the other
side to help cut properly.
