Just my .02.. I built my bed in the garage after removing the rear seats et al. then
I assemebled the parts I had and checked them on the GMC. They worked. Then put
them in. The top of the bed, and the one that would go up and down I had made out of
two pieces of wood. Once the base was installed in the coach, I brought the two
sides together and glued them in the coach. The bed complete, brought in the
mattress and took a nap. Had to, after a couple of hours of work, needed to rest and
could find no better, warmed, and more secluded place. Great experience.

Nice thing about this set up is if you decide you want to revert to
seats in
the back so you can take a bunch of people to a football game or
somewhere. I
believe you could change back in 15 minutes.

Pretty slick Justin, thanks.

To add a thought about the rear bed arrangement. My PO did a great and
simple job to convert the rear seats to a rear bed. He removed the seating
down to the plywood that covers the water tank on one side and the generator
on the other side. Then he installed an aluminum angle fore and aft within
an inch or two from the edge of each fibreglass unit to position a wooden
support section that spans the gap. This section has a light weight plywood
top with some about 1"x1" (not a standard 1x1) side to side braces to give
it strength. On both sides he made a similar section to raise the top
surface to the same level making a three piece, easily removed flat surface
to lay the mattress on.
