I just discovered another reason to love a rear bath Coachmen upfit - 40 gallon fresh water tank under the rearmost window! I have made due for four
years with the 19 gallon replacement tank someone put in my GMC upfit 1975, and forty sounds great. Saw the 40 gallon for the first time this week
when I dismounted (ripped off) the original countertop. It had water damage, so wasn't too hard to separate that 40 year old fiberboard from it's
mounts.

Here's the kicker - the original counter was stapled from underneath to the support bracket that runs along under the rear window. That 1x1 long stick
of wood has screws into it from the BACK of the GMC original plastic panels. So the must have gotten it all close, attached it to the rear skin, and
slid it all in and then reattached the skin to the back wall.

I may cobble together some leftover Brazilian Koa 3/4 flooring for a replacement countertop. That should look pretty cool beside all the walnut. And
another idea - why don't people put tall house kitchen type faucets in a bath sink like this? The little stubby seems to short to even fit my
toothbrush under!

I was able to find a 4" bar faucet with the neat paddle type handles to install in my Avion's side bath. Really liked it. It had a high arc faucet
also. No problem getting items under that arc.

Tyler,
There is a good chance the reason forthe 15 Gal. tank is that the 40Gal.
tank might have a leak.
The large tank has a baffel that will fatigue and leak.
Check for leak befor using it.
