This product is not measured by R value. It is given a 'K' value which
is the same but uses a different rating. It is measured as
?BTU/in/hr/
sq.ft./deg. F. Or how many btu's of heat will be conducted
through the material per inch of thickness of the material per hour per
sq.ft. of material by the temperature measured on the hot side.
eg. with a temp of 500 f. 1/4" of material will allow 2 btu's of
transfer per sq/ft of material per hour. It also has the added benefit
of providing a sound barrier. I can't quite figure out the specs on
accoustical dampening but it does offer that as well.
As a headliner material it probably would work great. It is extremely
flexible and it is quite easily manipulated to fit the curves of the
GM. Darren
