I am not Gene but GLUE LAMS are boards glued together to make a larger
rafter for strength for the roof.

Actually a better explaination is a Glue Lam is used in place of a beam they
are lots of 2 Xs any width depending on what you need glued together in
order to make a longer and stronger beam than can usually be bought in one
solid piece because they are made from several pieces they also do not
twist and warp like a solid piece of lumber.

Us Oregon kids are all wood guys.

Gluelams are the beams going down the center of the building so that there
are no posts in the middle. They are made from laminated boards that are
glued together hence "gluelams". They are very strong and expensive.

Isn't this Net just wonderful? I just learned what Glue Lams are..I
thought it was a typo and it/they are real things. It is nice to know
that at my age, I don't know everything. Now I will try to use glue lams
in a sentance...ooops! I just did. :)
