Without actually measuring. 3" per side. Worth every 1/16" Darren

GMCers,
I put the Ramco mirrors on my coach and while there's no mistaken the
teriffic visibility behind and out of the wide-vision top mirror on both
sides, I do feel that they're a bit much for the mountings. Those big
ones I have (see my photopoint site
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=181378&a=1322083
shiver a bit, mostly unnoticeable. Perhaps if they were backed up from
behind with a reenforcement. These came off of a Prevost and I have teh
massive arms & mounting plates but there's no radius on the front of the
coach where they'll flush mount to. Just a few cents worth.

Nice site Billy!

Ramco mirrors are approximately 2" wider (no more than 2") on each side
than the originals. Couldn't be more accurate holding the original and
trying to measure.

I installed the GMC Ramco mirrors, and they are very stable. Mine
incorporate the convex mirror in the same head as the flat mirror, and
appear to be somewhat smaller than your Prevost model. I consider them as
one of the best improvements I've added to the coach. They eliminate that
huge blind spot that I had with the OEM mirrors. The GMC model comes with
mounting arms that match the original holes, and I received the acid etched
version, ready for painting to match the new paint job.

My Ramco mirrors don't fold in easy. There is a nut adjustment on the bottom of
the main bracket. You would have to get out, loosen the adjustment and turn it
sideways and then you might gain an inch. However, other models may work
differently.

I measured mine this afternoon and they stick out 11" from the side of
the coach measured from a point below the base mount.

Chuck,
I think I saw a photo of yours and I liked them, I also don't like the
blind spots left by the stockers. I found the ones I have at a swap
meet but I'd trade them for the ones like yours. I'll keep looking!

Al, another question. Would it be any problem to fold in the right
mirror if
I needed to when backing in?
Justin
Justin,
One socket head set screw & you can turn them sideways & gain almost 4"
per side.

Call Chuck Kokesh at (402) 592-7620. Bout the same as this deal. He usually
stocks them and he's alot cheaper than Caspro or others. That's where I got
mine and I love 'um! Added my control in the drivers side ashtray spot. Give
yourself a good 4 hours to install. Also add wirenuts (or m/f spade or round
connectors) to the cables just inside the coach body where the mirrors mount
incase you need to pull the mirrors later for any reason. HTH
