RAmco mirror installation

Just installed a set earlier this year. In order to get the wire thru
you do need to remove the inside panels.

For the right side, I used a piece of mechanics wire for a fish tape and inserted
it from the exterior of the coach, through the original hole in the body that's in
the middle of the area the mirror bracket covers up. Then, after very minimal
effort, I wiggled the wire through the interior of the coach inside an enclosure
behind the dash, noticing in the process by hearing where it was hitting, just to
the right of the fuse panel. Drilled a hole (not knowing for sure at the time,
but hoping I would be able to access the fish tape, which I did), just below the
bottom level of the fuse panel, through the dash panel immediately to the right of
the fuse panel. After a little further wiggling of the fish wire, it came right
through the hole. Next, I pulled the mirror cable inside the coach. Since the
wire was now visible again, you can now run the wire anywhere you want to go with
it.

For the left side, I just started stuffing the mirror cable from the coach
exterior side, through the left side hole corresponding to the one mentioned above
on the right side of the coach. In short order, I found a pile of cable inside
the coach, to the left of the foot well.

That's all it took.

I don't know if it's easier, but I drilled a hole behind the original
mirror mounting area and then used a fish tape to pull the wire through the
body panel area on both sides. For the right side I removed the glove
compartment and the wire was easily reached from the right side of the fuse
panel. I pulled the wire across the dash where the other wire bundles cross
from driver's to passenger side. The wire ended just to the right of the
closeout panel on the driver's side. If you look under the dash to the
left of the emergency brake you will find a hole that you can use to fish
the wire to the left.

To fish the driver's side wire and the end of the passenger side wire
through the closeout panel, I removed the map pocket. This gives you "lots"
of room to grab wires. TO fish the passenger side wires through the panel I
used a piece of air line - it's flexible enough but also rigid enough to go
through the maze of ductwork. Push the air line (or other fish line) though
the panel from under the dash. You may have to contort a bit to feed the
line through the opening. Tape the wire to the end of the fish line and
pull through the panel. I don't remember drilling any other holes to feed
wires.
