Ram Air for GMC

While at the Rayne GMCMI convention I purchased the insulation kit
for the engine compartment from Darren Paget. He has both 1/4" and
1/2" thick kits available. I bought the 1/2" and it sure does keep
the heat and the sound out of the driver's compartment. It works
great.

For a long time I've been wanting to bring cooler air to my air
cleaner. When I put on my Holley TBI fuel injection system I had to
rout out my engine cover more in order to clear the air cleaner since
the manifold adapter raised the filter about 3/4". With the addition
of the 1/2" thick insulation from TZE (Darren), I couldn't close the
engine cover. I then decided to find a way to get Ram Air and to get
my engine cover closed without buying or making a higher engine cover.
