Our 78 Royale had probable 95% of the original black paint still on it. But I still wanted to that paint off. And the very few places that had very light surface rust. As everything under there was coming out anyway. I then used one of my smaller pressure abrasive blasters to clean off the entire frame/floor. The aluminum skin on the bottom of the floor. Cleaned up great. To make it look back to original. I then painted that with Restorium. Matt nickel. Frame got satin black. As that would make it easier to clean/scrub later. I clean the bottom about once a year. I get annul about the dam dust things. ( GRIN )
