Hi all, Took the Pumpkin-Rose out today after radiator core replace and
additional tranny cooler addition, It was about 106deg. outside temps, On
level road at 50-60mph with (a/c on thru whole ride about 20 miles) old
sender gauge stayed on 1/4 mark went up a 2 mile hill at 60, gauge went up
acouple lines fan on and right back to 1/4 mark. Tranny at about 180-190 on
level road and up to about 200 on hill. Yea all looking good!!! When I first
left to put gas(1.67 prem.) tranny would shift out of 1st at 40 at station
found broking vac line at carb. (:-)> replaced and all was fine. I'm happy
with the out come. When checking engine saw steering pump pulley wobbling
guess I put to much pressure when trying to get pulley hole to align with
adjusting bolt when changing belts, Always something and I'm just starting
this GMC love thing!!! I also replaced steering wheel from Jim Bounds,(got
some window latch buttons too Very trusting and good man Remember him if you
need painting or GMC parts!!!), but on level road spokes is not
centered(same as old wheel) Can I make a simple adjust on this to center?? I
Like the wheel!!!! Still have to repair Lt. wheel "T" guess after 8-11 trip.
Never really worked on fib-glass tho, guess I gotta learn they want too much
for simple repair.
