:? Radiator neck is leaking where it attaches to tank. Where are the procedures for
Removal and Replacing? Could not find it in #7525 under 6K- Engine Cooling System.

John,
A good radiator shop may be able to repair this leak without removing the radiator. I had the overflow tube repaired without removing the radiator so maybe they can do the same for your situation.

Easiest way, is to just cut the lower support right off. The radiator will drop straight down and out front. Then weld on some junction to put
it backup and allow easy future removal. I have seen door hinges used as a junction. Pull door pin and radiator lower part will come off for
future.

I know you can take all the A/C condensor and stuff off and secure it forward and still tip and pull out radiator. More difficult if you have a rock
guard or other protection stuff.

There are pictures of a couple radiator jobs somewhere on photo site.

Take it out the bottom. You onyl need to jack the front a foot or so and it will tilt out. If you cut the frame close to the bottom turn, it's
;ighter and thus easier... particularly to rei8nstall.
Procedure is, remove radiator and the bottom opf the frame by disconnectiong the things bolted to the side ofthe frame and the shroud. Lower and tilt
thye bopttpm foprward ro remove, with the front on ramps or jacked and cribbed. Take thwe radiator to a shop which knows what they're doing. While
they have it, bolt two hinges flat on the sides such that the end of the hinge is where the lower curve begins. begin. Drill the4 bolt holes, then
bolt the hinges qwwith the bolt heads inside and the nusts/washers on the outside. Remove the hinges and cut the frame on each side between the bolt
hols for the hinges. Bolt the frame together using the hinges. Drive the pins out of the hinges, and bolt teach side of the frame back in place.
When the radiator comes back, place the top padesw in the proper place on the tanks, set the bottom pads on the frame bottom, set the radiator in the
bottom and slide it up into place, making sure the pads are straight and seated. Secure it by driving the hinge pins in.

The key is mount the hinges before you cut, so the depth of the frame doesn't change.
