I will try to be brief, I have a Royale that I,m trying to put new black and gray water tanks in. I have no support for the gray water tank, so I am
trying to concoct unistrut to hold it up. Cross member will hold up one side but nothing to hold up the other. If I put say 3 foot section of
unistrut into the floor, will it be strong enough to attach another piece of unistrut for support of the tank. If so, how long of screws to get good
tight fit.

The first question is how much do the tanks weigh, full of material?

Using Unistrut is a good way to go, I would say the shorter height section would work fine. I would not trust wood screws into 40 year old plywood. Depending on the year, the floor is either 3/4" thick or 1 1/8". I would throughbolt it using elevator bolts (available from McMaster Carr), optionally, carrage bolts with fender washers could be used, but would not be flush with the floor.

I was able to jam in the unistrut between the floor and the frame for the width of the mh, very tight, just need to anchor the unistrut to the frame
so it doesnt move. Working on it

Use a 3/8" unistrut spring nut with some 3/8" bolts.

My Norris upfit had a pair of straps under the (single) tank with a piece of 1/16 sheet metal under the tank to spread the load.

If you are securing the tank to the frame keep in mind that the rest of
your plumbing is secured to the coach which moves independently from the
frame. A fernco flexible coupler at the tank should allow some flex
assuming you have the space for one.

When I installed tanks in my Royale, I used a center bath style grey tank and a new rear black tank from Jim K. I mounted the grey tank with U channel
and used beam clamps attached to the frame. I put 1 inch thick rubber kneeling pads between the tank and the floor to give some cushion and allow some
movement. Her is some pictures of my install. Also the 90's are rubber.
