In my continuing effort to improve the brakes on my '78 Transmode
conversion, I believe I have all of the parts to;

Still have full braking even with no operating engine, and
Improved Braking performance without dramatic changes at the wheels.

With your help I had the part number and application, Soooooooooo, I
attempted to have PEPBOYS get me a Powermaster Booster, with no luck. It
took them 30 days to figure out that they have no way of getting me one.
They were at an approx cost of $265 (with $65 core). After getting back the
required prepayment for the 'Special Order', I Checked with CarQuest and
NAPA and got quotes of over $350 plus core, with no guarantee that they
could get one. I checked with you folks on the WEB and did not come up with
many alternatives. I did get the name of Marvin Peck who makes the Adapter,
which I did purchase.

I finally stopped by my neighborhood 'ADVANCE AUTO PARTS' location and had
them look up the part. WOW!!! Their price was $175 (plus $30 core) AND
THEY 4 OF THEM ON THE SHELF AT THEIR WAREHOUSE!! It even comes with a 'LTD
LIFETIME WARRANTY"!!

Now the question-----> There seems to be connection for 3 wires. Anyone
know what other one besides Ground and +12 Volts might be?? Maybe a warning
lamp connection of some sort??

TIA, Thom Hole '78 Transmode

Thom the information that I have on the Power master unit indicates that
connections on four way plug:

A. ground and to pin c of combination valve.
B. Battery (pink/w black tracer)
C. #30 Amp fuse to battery (orange wire)
D. to pin C of combination valve

There are other modifications that you will have to make to the powermaster
unit to get it to work reliably on the coach, such as replacing the relay.

I would be interested in buying a unit from advance auto parts. Can I have
their number and would thy ship one to me?
