Most importantly is did the removal tool come with an installation tool? The pulley must NOT be pressed onto the pump shaft, or the new pump will be
damaged. It has to be drawn on, using the threads inside the shaft. Usually a long threaded stud with a bearing plate or some flat washers, and a nut
to draw the pulley down onto the shaft. Worked at auto parts stores for years, saw quite a few pumps come back damaged from pulleys being pressed on,
or even worse, hammered!
