Power consumption of fridge at 12 Volts

My marine Vitrifrigo (Danfoss Compressor) is full size with a huge freezer and draws just over 5 amps on 12 volts

Their spec sheet says
12 Vdc /65 W (5.38 A)

On mains it claims 65 watts as well. Imagine that!

I have a NORCOLD 3 WAY refrigerator in the GMC. I have had it for a very long time, originally bought new for a different RV.
I like it a lot but your question is a good one.

Not sure why you are asking about the loading of the 12v dc system, it is a lot, about 10 amps. It is enough that when you travel down the road you
can be on the 12v dc power but when you stop and shut the engine down, you need to turn off the 12v dc. Using the DC power to run the 3 way will run
the battery down quickly.

The propane is great when camping and the 120 v ac is also great if you can plug in at campsites.

I pretty much use the 12v dc when driving down the road with the engine running, but when you stop don't forget to turn off the 12v dc.
